LOCAL IIYDRIP RINK
A curling rink, composed of
members of the local Rural Hydro
staff, walked off with top honors
at the first Georgian Hay Regional
bonspiel held at Alliston on Satur-
day. The regien is made up of 17
Hydro areas 'between Huntsville
and Wingham. Sixteen rinks com-
peted in this year's event.
The Wingham rink was made up
of Matt Boyd, skip, Harry • Mc-
Arthur, Don Camick and Doug
Wylie. They won the Morley T.
Somers Troahaa an award which
hat' been denoted by a former
manager of the 'Whigharit office
Who left here for Barrie in 1945.
Mr. Somers was on hand to present
the trophy and the individual prizes
at the Conclusion of the boaspiel.

'Bread of Life' Theme
For Day of Prayer
Twenty ladies from this distriet
attended the World Day of Prayer
meeting held on Friday in the
Presbyterian Church, Mrs. R, T. A.
Marshall coeducted the 'call to
prayer and praise part of the
program. Mrs, Jas. Falcorter took
the repentance -division, Mrs. Mil-
ian Moore the dedication and Mrs.
Dawson Craig the season of inter-
cession, The special prayers were
la charge of Mrs. Garnet Farrier
Mrs, Earl Caslick, Mrs. E, H.
Groskorth, Mrs. Frank Coulter and
Mrs. Ezra; Scholtz, Misses Norma
and Irma Forster sang "Paute at
His feet tor a Moment of Prayer".
Rev, Marshall gave a splendid
talk on the theme, "The Stead of
Life," stressing tha need Of this
