NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY Pay what you can at Grand The Grand Theatre announced Dec. 15 it is holding 200 seats for the 2:00 p.m. performance of A Christinas Carol on Dec. 26. The fourth Saturday matinee of Mainstage performances at The Grand are designated as Pay What You Can, which enables patrons to purchase any remaining seats at whatever price they can afford. “Pay What You Can has become a new tradition here at The Grand,” commented Administrative Direc­ tor Lascelle Wingate, “and we feel an obligation to make seats for A Christmas Carol available for purchase on this basis. We want to ensure that all of our productions are accessible to everyone, no matter what their economic situation.” The 200 Pay What You Can tickets will go on sale at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, one hour before curtain, on a first-come first-served basis. Tickets for A Christmas Carol, which runs Monday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2:00 p.m. (no performances December 24 and December 25), are selling very quickly with only single tickets available for most performances.
