4-H club learns to cook with eggs
The first chicken and egg club
was held September 20. Everybody
was excited. The leaders were Mrs.
Marilyn Freiburger, Mrs. Isabel
Campbell and Mrs. Vicki Piluke.
This week they cooked a
pumpkin loaf, chicken cordon bleu
and corn dogs.
The second meeting was Oct. 14.
After saying the 4-H Pledge they
started on what they would make
for supper. That night there was
roast chicken with savoury
dressing, chicken noodle soup,
crepes filled with luscious lemon
dessert filling. To end the meeting
they watched two movies.
4H members did some egg
judging on four categories. They
were A. B. C. D. Members also did
some catching up in their books.
For roll call they were asked their
favourite food using chicken or
eggs. For supper they cooked
cream of chicken soup, plain
chicken and Alaska baked bounty.
At the Oct. 21 meeting they were
halfway through the sixth meeting
and then into reading their books.
They went into groups and then
were told what recipe to make. The
recipes were Canadian Country Pie,
Fruit Salad with Honey Lime
Dressing, Parmesan Chicken

arrived and the offering was
received by Arnold Spivey and
