The goalie had pucks flying at him from all directions during the game by the powerful Trojans who won this game during the Blyth Minor Hockey and Ringette Tournament held at the Blyth arena this weekend. The tournament incorporated industrial hockey, old-timer hockey and ladies' and men’s broomball. Bulls lose second game in a row THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18,1992. PAGE 7. $ Brussels PeeWees win twice The Brussels Bulls lost their second game in a row, this time by a 5-4 score to Walkerton, Sunday afternoon at the B. M. & G. arena despite outshooting the Black Hawks 39-26. Jeff McKee opened the scoring early in the game with assists to Brad Carter and Alex Motley. Walkerton replied with two in 29 seconds but the lead was shortlived as Ted Sills ended first period scoring 19 seconds later. Walkerton took command scoring three consecutive second period goals for a 5-2 lead. Jason Baier added a powerplay goal late in the period while Jamie Scott scored unassisted midway through the third for a final 5-4 Black Hawk win. Walkerton's defensive stalwarts Mike Bradstock and Steve Gibson were named first and third stars respectively while the Bulls' Ted A 'Bully' of a breakfast F Brussels Bulls and Atom players line up for eggs, toast and sausage at the Brussels Morris and Grey Community Centre Sunday morning. The breakfast was put on by the Brussels Bulls executive and after players from both teams had their fill, they held a joint practice. Sills was awarded second star status in the Formosa Three Star selection. This week the Bulls have 8:30 starts in Goderich Friday night and Mt. Forest Saturday before meeting Grand Valley Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Brussels Midget Rep rise from ashes STICK TO THE TRAIL In a second period rise trom the ashes, the Brussels Midget Rep team skated their way to a 5-3 vic­ tory over a visiting Zurich team in WOAA hockey action on Wednes­ day, Nov. 11. The game got off to a shaky start when Zurich snuck in the only goal of the first period, then came back to add on another in the second. Just a few seconds later, however, Wayne Alexander set up Mark Robinson who shot in the first Brussels' goal which cut the Zurich Special guests at Sunday's game were the Brussels Atom Hockey Club. The Atoms were treated to a breakfast and practice with the Bulls players and management in the morning, followed by free admission to the afternoon contest. lead in half. On Friday night in Milverton, Cory Newman led the scoring with a goal in the first period, assisted by Andrew Exel. Newman and Exel teamed up for the second goal setting up Chad McCallum for the- point. Newman also scored a goal in the second period and the third. The second period goal was assist­ ed by Exel and the third period goal by McCallum. Milverton's only goal was in the third period. Two days later, the team played in Seaforth and shut-out the hosts 9-0. The goaltending of Jamie Thomas and strong defence of Josh Beuerman, Matthew Shortreed, Brett Fischer and Cory Bragg shut out would-be Seaforth scorers. While the defencemen stopped in-coming pucks, the centre and wings did their job. Andrew Exel scored the first goal in the first period.
