The project includes an expansion of the existing grocery store in addition to a new building for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, now housed across the street to the left of EMA. EMA, CISC project underway Morning Star installs officers Construction is underway at the EMA store in Brussels and people will have noticed by now the pro­ ject is no simple extension. By April the EMA and CIBC branch will be housed under one roof. EMA owner Allan Teeft said the new branch of the CIBC will be 3200 square feet, considerably larg­ er than the present location. The food store is being expanded from 6100 square feet to 10,400. There will be a common entrance off the parking lot with automatic doors. Customers will tum right to enter the bank or left to EMA. 4H’ers bake delicious dish by Lesley Elliott On Monday, Oct. 26 we held our fifth 4H meeting at the home of Gabrielle McLaughlin. The meeting began by dividing into two groups. The first group baked a delicious dish called Alaska Baked Bounty. It consisted of chocolate swiss rolls, vanilla ice cream and egg whites. The remaining group added many finishing touches to our books by colouring title pages, gluing pictures and catching up on the written work. The roll call was “give an important tip on microwave cooking, separating egg whites and yolks or beating egg whites. Mr. Teeft said the produce department and checkouts will be moved to the expanded area. The aisles will be wider and run the opposite direction to which they run now. A unique feature about the con­ struction is that it is a "green pro­ ject". The asphalt is recycled and the brick is being reused. Sister Joan bernard District Deputy President of Huron District No. 23 made her official visit at this meeting and installed the officers of Morning Star Lodge for the coming term, aided by the installing team Monkton Rebekah Lodge.
