K Brussels Bulls Dream Team player gets on the back of an NHL Oldtimer Saturday night in a
game between the two teams. The NHL Oldtimers were invited to play against the Dream
Team in celebration of the Bulls 10th anniversary. To make the event more special for Bulls
players and fans, the Dream Team won the game 11 to 8.

For 10th consecutive year Bulls win home opener
The Brussels Bulls, for the tenth
consecutive year won their home
opener, this time with an 8-2 win
over the Grand Valley Harvesters,
Sunday, Oct. 11.

Archery hunting for deer in the
Wingham area began on Oct. 15
The Controlled Deer Hunt in Huron
County runs from Nov. 2-6, while
the Perth County deer hunt is from
Nov. 30-Dec. 4. Hunters are
reminded that the collection of deer
and moose jaws and hides will once
again be at the New Old Mill, one
mile south of Blyth along Highway
#4. This depot will be set up at the
back of the old mill.
The New Old Mill will accept all
deer and moose hides in useable
condition from Oct. 5-Dec. 31.
The Ministry of Natural
Resources (M.N.R.) will NOT be
operating check stations during the
gun hunts as in the past. Instead
the M.N.R. will operate check
stations after the Huron and Perth
County hunts on Nov. 9-10 and
Dec. 7-8, at the New Old Mill.
Operation time will be from 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
Attendants will only accept clean
jaws with the necessary
information pertaining to the
harvest of that animal. This
includes hunter's name, address.

The Wingham Pro-Life Chapter
met for its monthly meeting on
Monday, Oct. 4. Nancy McKeon
opened with a poem
“Unconditional Love is God's
Love” followed with prayer.
Minutes were read and accepted.

should be available by mid-October
for purchase.

starting Oct. 19 and will run for
three weeks.

Canada?” The RV486 is a drug
which has but one proven use, to
induce an abortion, but funding by
the National Cancer Institute of
Canada is studying the use of
RV486 in the treatment of breast
cancer and it is under consideration
by the Canadian Health Protection
Branch.

The Bulls take their 3-0 record to
Walkerton Friday night and travel
to Grand Valley Saturday. Their
next home game is in Brussels
