We started the meeting with the 4-H pledge then took attendance. Two new girls have joined our club making a total of 13. We read and discussed a variety of recipes from the 4-H book. At home during the past week each girl either made an omelette or an eggimal. An eggimal is an animal made out of a hard boiled egg with edible accessories. The majority of us made "pegguins". Lemon-filled crepes were made and enjoyed. The remainder of the evening was spent adding pictures to our books from magazines. On Tuesday, Oct. 6 we held our third 4H meeting, at Cathy Bridge's home. We first read from the book, then took roll call. The question for this week was: name one product or recipe that has eggs as an ingredient, yet where you do not actually taste the egg. My answer was cookies and cake. Some of us made brownies, while the rest of us did fill-in-the blanks, word searches, and crosswords on chickens and eggs. We ended our meeting by saying “Learn To Do By Doing!” THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14,1992.
