A former resident of Stanley Township, Mr. Frederick William McClymont, died at his residence at Huronview on Friday, Sept. 25, 1992. He was 91. A son of the late James McClymont and Margaret Diehl, Mr. McClymont was bom in Stan­ ley Township on Jan. 2, 1901. Until his retirement, Mr. McClymont was a larmer in Stanley Township and will be remembered as a valued member of the community, a most unselfish and caring person. For many years he enjoyed being a cor­ respondent with the Clinton News- Record for the Varna area. He was a member of Wesley-Willis United Church and a former member of Varna United Church. Mr. McClymont was a longstanding member of teh Loyal Orange Lodge No. 1035, Varna. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mabel Coleman. He will be sadly missed by his children, Mary and Donald Barker of RR2, — King City, Margaret Robinson of Scarborough, Joan and Nick Whyte of RR2, Seaforth, Ivan and Mar­ garet of RR1, Varna and Robert and Faye of Guelph. Fifteen grand­ children and three great-grandchil­ dren will also mourn his passing. A duaghter-in-law Gail (Orpen) McClymont, his sister, Violet McClymont and brother Ernest pre­ deceased him. L.O.L. No. 1035 held a combined Orange and Black service at the Ball Chapel of the Beattie-Falconer Home on Sunday evening. Funeral services were conducted at Wesley- Willis Church by Rev. Jack Twed- dle on Monday, Sept. 28. Carrying floral tributes were Mr. McClymont's granddaughters Ruth Barker, Lorrie Marquis, Kathlene Marcoux, Carol Robinson, Shan­ non McClymont and Crystal Whyte. His grandsons, Lome Bark­ er, Glenn Barker, Michael McClymont, David Whyte, Brian Whyte and Murray Whyte carried him to his final resting place at Bayfield Cemetery. DONALD HARVEY HUNKING Mr. Donald Harvey Hunking of RR5, Clinton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1992. He was 66. Born March 5, 1926 in Hullett Township, Mr. Hunking was a son of the late Harvey Hunking and Evelyn Cartwright. He was married to the former Myrna Essex, who predeceased him in 1986. Mr. Hunking was employed with the Ministry of Transportation at the Clinton Yard. He was the beloved father of Joyce and her husband Fred Cuttell of London, Kathy and her husband Murray Hunking of Goderich and Dawn Laureen Hunking at home. He is survived by two sisters, Hazel (Mrs. Joe) Crasato of Detroit, Mich., Feme (Mrs. William) Moore of Goderich and one brother Gerald Hunking of Petrolia. He was also the beloved grandfather of four grandchildren. Mr. Hunking rested at the "Ball Chapel" of the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Home, Clinton where the funeral and committal service was held on Friday, Sept. 25. Rev. Stan MacDonald of Corunna United Church was the officiating clergy. Interment was at Hope Chapel Cemetery in Hullett Township. DAISY HOLLISTER Daisy Hollister of Queens Villa in Blyth died Sept. 25 at Wingham and District Hospital. She was 82 years old. Mrs. Hollister was bom in Eng­ land and came to Canada in 1946. She married Ernest Harlow Hollis­ ter who is now deceased. Mourning her death are her chil­ dren, Ernest and Emily Phillips of RR 2, Blyth and Kathleen and Michael Buchkowsky of Penticton B.C. and grandchildren, Karen and Les Phillips and Michael and Susan Buchkowsky. She was predeceased by her par­ ents, Charles and Alice Ainger. Mrs. Hollister was a member of Blyth United Church. A memorial service for Mrs. Hol­ lister was held on Sept. 28 in Blyth United Church. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Cornwall EDITH BOWERS Mrs. Edith Bowers died at Clin­ ton Public Hospital on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1992. The former Listow- el resident, now of Blyth was in her 86th year. Mrs. Bowers was the dear mother of Noreen (Mrs. Albert Coates) of Fergus and Hilda (Mrs. Gordon Harkes) of Clinton. She will be fondly remembered by 11 grand­ children and several great-grand­ children. Mrs. Bowers is survived as well by three sisters, Mabel Countryman, Pearl Wright and Hilda Holmes and a brother James Fleming. She was predeceased by her husband Roy, son Allan, two sisters and a brother. The funeral was held at Trench Funeral Home, Listowel on Thurs­ day, Sept. 24. She was married to Ken Hoffman of Toronto and is survived by her children Sharon Hoffman of Toron­ to and Les and Michelle Hoffman of Mississauga. She is also survived by two sis­ ters Lenore Glenn and Jeanette Duggan and a brother Raymond Adams. She was predeceased by her brothers Clarence and Robert. Mrs. Hoffman rested at Betts Visitation Centre, Gorrie where the funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday. Interment was at Wroxeter Cemetery. HUGH THOMAS McCLURE Hugh Thomas McClure of Mal- ton, formerly of Blyth, died Sept. 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was 61. Mr. McClure was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Colum­ bus. Mr. McClure was bom in Belfast, Ireland, son to the late Dominic and Mary McClure. Mourning his passing is his wife, Marie Tyrrell and his children, Frances and her Should You Know... husband Richard Fisher of Goderich and Hugh McClure of Brampton. He is also survived by his broth­ er, Dominic McClure of Belfast, Ireland; his mother-in-law Molly Tyrrell of Belfast, Ireland; his step­ sisters Patricia O'Prey of Australia and Sheila Shackey of England; his step-brother Peter McClure of New Zealand; his sister-in-laws Eliza­ beth Ormonde and Helene and her husband Tony Bradley all of Belfast, Ireland. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Tiema and Conor Fisher. He was predeceased by one brother, Joseph McClure. Funeral mass was celebrated at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Goderich on Sept. 24. Honorary pallbearers were Grant Sparling, Russell Cook and Nelson Caronin. Pallbearers were Giulio Carere, Allan Smylie, Steven Sparling, David Sparling, Jim McCabe and Angelo Martini. Interment was at St. Peters Cemetery in Goderich.
