Grey Central students learn about archeology REPORTERS: MARION HALLER AND KRISTA HUNTER Once again, Grey Central Public School students had the day off to attend the Brussels Fall Fair. Fortunately it was a warm and sunny day so most students showed up to march. To show how environmentally aware Grey is, the theme was “Grey Goes Green”. Four students made an outstanding banner and the rest of the school tried to wear as much green as possible. Many exhibits were entered by students and some by parents, and many won. It was a great day and everyone was glad to participate. BY ANN STEPHENSON Mrs. Whitmore's grade seven class are learning about archeology and about atlases. They are also working on the computer program Mavis Beacon. On Sept. 18, the class travelled to Wingham for their first day of Design and Technology and Family Studies. Design and Technology students made spaghetti bridges, and in Family Studies they made ice cream and worked hard on their pin cushions. Mr. Colquhoun's grade eights are working on the new computer in their classroom every day. They are also doing review work, reading novels, and writing book reports. At the Design and Technology the grade eights are making banks and working on marketing projects.
