Head over heels The Brussels Bulls coaching staff made their final decisions Sunday in preparation for the league opener in Wingham Friday night. Game time is 9:30. Gary Bridge from Listowel will join returning veteran Trevor Fortune as the Bulls' goaltending duo for the 1992-93 season. The defence will be anchored by Jason Baier and Jeff Coulter. Newcomers include Josh Alexander and Jason Camm, products of the Minto minor hockey system; Brad Gibb from Stratford and Tim Beyer, an overage Midget from Listowel. Patience will be the key defensively for the Bulls as Bridge, Alexander and Camm all have Midget eligibility remaining while Gibb is a second year Bantam. Right Wing has returnee's Brian Zabel and Ted Sills being joined by Jamie Williams from Harriston and Jonathan Lane from Wingham. Williams has Junior “C” experience Bly th Brownies begin year The 1992-93 season has officially started for the 1st Blyth Brownies and the group has already completed one project with their booth at the Thresher Reunion. The official year started with a “Getting to Know You” games night. It was quite a challenge getting 23 girls acquainted. The new leaders were also christened. Forest, while Lane, who is also eligible to play Midget played several games for the Wingham Jr C'slast season. George Carnegie, an overage Midget from Listowel and Curtis McCone from Clinton are on the left wing beside Jeff McKee and Greg McNevan. McCone has played for the Goderich Sailors Jr C's, but more recently has played with Conestoga College. Brad Carter, Steve Fritz and Jamie Scott return from Listowel and Ryan Robins from Miller Lake. Bender played for the Listowel Midgets last season while Robins, who played for Mt. Forest two season ago led the Lions Head North Stars in the WOAA Senior B Championship last season. Blyth 523-9305 The Bulls home opener is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1:00 against long time rival Grand Valley. The Harvesters and Bulls are the only teams remaining from the Grey Bruce Junior D League in which Brussels originally played in 1983. From the Bullspen: Quade Lightbody has signed with the Peterborough Jr. B's but will practice and play with the Major A Petes as required. The Bulls are looking for anybody willing to donate their time to work in the sound booth. Duties including the playing of pre­ game music during warm-up, stoppages in play and intermissions.
