Committee chairperson Donna
White said that 200 students are
expected during the morning. Brus
sels Public School principal Dave
Kemp has informed Mrs. White
150 will be present from Brussels
Public School, while former Brus
sels resident, now Stratford teacher
Rose Marks is bringing 50 of her
Grade 10 students. The committee
is organizing a schedule for the stu
dents which will include informa
tive talks by the exhibitors.
Regarding the novice venture,
Mrs. White is quite pleased by the
way things are shaping up. "It's
been a Jot of work and a real learn

Mr. Prior has been their coach
with much help from Mrs. Perrie.
They have had a lot of hard
practices. Everyone worked well
together.
Cross Country started two weeks
ago and talk about participation!
Everyone from grades two to eight
has been out to take part. Mr. Prior
takes them through warm-ups and
keeps track of laps. Mr. Wanless
and Mr. Teall are pylons on the
street comers.
There are new improvements at
the school. The facility has been
upgraded so handicapped people
have access to the washrooms.
There is a new front sidewalk, and
a new paved road to the bike
stands. A bulldozer was working
this summer, making soccer fields
and watch out for our new security
system! Just a reminder to all
groups that use the school to make
sure you are familiar with the
procedures related to the system.
We interviewed some students to
see how they like school so far.
