exciting art activities
As the bright orange school buses
roll through the Huron County
landscape, taking their cargo of
neon-clad kiddies back to class, the
Blyth Festival Art Gallery can look
back upon a colourful and eventful
season.
Jerry and Carol McDonnell
curated the historic and fascinating
George Reid exhibition and
presided over two informal evening
discussions of the work. In strong,
contrast, Fragmentation/Regenera
tion presented a powerful contem
porary look at environmental
matters through the eyes of Janny
Frazer and Audrey Shimizu.
Curated by Bruce Stainton, this
multi-media presentation served to
stimulate all who viewed the show.
The final exhibition of the season,
A Print Defined, featured the work
of a number of Ontario artists in the
media of woodcuts, engravings,
serigraphs and other print media.
Curators Jo Manning and Bev
Walker presented an interesting
evening talk with demonstrations of
woodcut printing, intaglio and silk
screen.

working on the next Community
Art Exhibition, Our Land, planned
for the Bainton Gallery from Dec.
