This is one of the first mini-festivals organized by the Ontario Choral Federation and certainly the first in this area. Choristers from all over southwestern Ontario will gather for this one day event. They will rehearse with master clinician, Ken Fleet, during the day and perform as a massed choir at the concert in the evening. In celebration of Canada's 125th anniversary the repertoire will be a variety of music written or arranged by Canadian composers. Clinician, Ken Fleet, is a well- known and much enjoyed choral conductor. He has been a music teacher for many years at Medway High School in Arva and his choirs have won many national and international competitions. "When I would play for the students at coffee shops and they would clap and say it was okay, then I knew that maybe I was good enough. In effect the public will tell you if you have a chance." However, Mr. Cameron also admits that when he started the Canadian music industry was taint ed by the belief that if it was Cana dian it wasn't good enough. "That attitude unfortunately still persists," he said, adding that his early expo sure on the Don Messer Show and later his own television show helped him with his gradual climb to success. "I was lucky in that regard," he said. Loving what you do and being successful at it means a great deal colour entitled "English Cottage" was painted in 1992 and is valued at $500.
