The book, which was purchased by the Agricultural Society and donated to the local library branch, provides historical information about agricultural societies over the past 100 years. 70 participate in games night BY SANDRA JOSLING Approximately 70 people participated in the Brussels Legion team games pub night. Participants worked up a good sweat at the bean bag toss event and replaced all their divots on the golf course. Each team's memory was put to the test for the card memory event and again at the spelling event. The charades were performed quickly to the team members and somehow got answered. The Queen of the Fair competi­ tion will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Brussels, Morris, and Grey Community Centre. The con­ testant interviews are at 4:30 p.m. with a dinner at 6 p.m. A two minute address will be given at 8 p.m. followed by a dance at 9 p.m. The crowning of the Queen will be a 10 p.m. On Tuesday, the Community Centre opens at 7 p.m. There is a pet show from 7:15-8:00 p.m. A variety show is scheduled for 8-10 p.m. Wednesday, there will be a parade at 12 noon, featuring the Brussels Pipe Band. The official opening is at 1 p.m. with Grey Twp. Deputy-Reeve Fred Uhler as Master of Ceremonies. There is a mini tractor pull at 2 p.m. and sev­ eral 4H shows. The Brussels Fall Fair offers things to see and do for people of all ages and sizes. People Having spent one week in Wind­ sor getting ready to begin a second Ag. Exhibited crops at the fair on Wednesday will be worth 50 points.
