The back half of the roof has been removed and a second storey is being added on. Students succeed in exams Sunday School will resume for the new season on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 11:15 a.m. The Royal Conservatory music piano results are in with students of Marsha Szusz receiving the following results: grade 3, Cheryl Thompson, pass; Shannon Scott, Honours, grade 4; Amanda Howson, April Van Amersfoort, Mandy Hadenko, honours; Jenny Konarski, pass. Theory exams were taken earlier this year with the following results: Jennifer Szusz, Erin Jamieson, and Kimberley Richmond, grade 2 rudiments, first class honours with distinction; Amy Jenkins, grade 1 Rudiments, first class honours. The September meeting of Londesboro W.I. will be held at 8 Community saddened by hospitalization Friends and neighbours of Mr. Bob Thompson will be sorry to hear he is a patient in Clinton Public Hospital. The best wishes of the community are extended to him for a speedy recovery. Petition p.m. Wednesday evening, Sept. 9 at Joyce Feltz of Clinton, who will the Hall. President Dan O'Rourke opened the meeting. Everyone sang “O Canada” and repeated the Lord's Prayer. Minutes and correspondence were read by secretary Margaret Kelly. Kay O'Rourke gave a reading. Thank you notes were read from Dan and Kay O'Rourke and Nora and Len on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversaries. Happy Birthday was sung to Margaret for her 80th. The collection was received and members reminded next month would be a collection for overseas blind. Marjorie Lingleback played a tape of Hal Roache and his Irish monologue. It was enjoyed by all. The meeting adjourned with everyone having had an enjoyable time. The roll call was read and three new members were welcomed. Burnside and Associates incorporate an extension of the Longhurst Drain in the report being prepared under the R. Daer petition. Clerk-Treasurer Bev Shaddick will be attending the Municipal Finance Conference in London from Sept. 23-25. Registration is $335 including meals. Council concurred with the reso­ lution from Kincardine opposing the government using the Ontario Municipal Employees retirement System pension fund for an invest­ ment fund.
