In loving memory of a dear husband, father and grandfather Kenneth Bray, who passed away August 1, 1991. God looked down upon this earth And saw your tired face, So He put His arms around you, And lifted you to rest, God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. In tears we saw you suffer, And He knew that you were in pain, a So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered “Come with Me” You fought so hard to stay And we did not want you to go, But when we saw you sleeping Peacefully, and free from pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you didn't go alone, For a part of us went with you, The day God called you home. - Sadly missed and forever remem bered by your wife Helen, Larry and Janis, Shirley and Stewart and grandchildren. 30-lp fl LIVESTOCK COMMERCIAL EWE FLOCK OF 80 cross-bred ewes Suffolk, Dorset and Romanov. The era of Two Worlds, he says seemed to be a turning point in the town. "It was the era of the imfa- mous Red Bam and the last of the Canadian Temperance Act," he said. Popular Blyth actor Jerry Franken, plays Paul's grandfather in a scene where he teaches the youth to drink beer out of a paper bag. "It's a statement on the illegalities of drinking at that time," says Mr. Thompson. The theme is the double world of small town life as seen through the teenager's perspective. "On the one side it is dull, boring, predictable and slow as molasses, then you turn a comer and there are some really exciting things happening." Mr. Spottiswood as Paul re enacts his days as a printer's devil at The Listowel Banner. "It's the last of the old boys' regime," says Mr. Thompson. The play touches on the mysti cism of well-known psychic Vera McNichol, played by Ms Anglin, and on the burgeoning impact of baseball on the town. This was the time of the ball player phenoms, recalls Mr. Thompson. Blyth Festi val's Artistic Director Peter Smith plays the colourful John Bell, a major player in the Listowel minor ball program. Also appearing in the play are Mr. Jarvis as Cy Bamford and Heather Morton of Belgrave, who plays a young girl. Septuegenarian actor Wally McSween gets a chance to demonstrate his bag pipe talents. The two performances on Satur day and Sunday are almost virtual ly sold out so the committee has added a third show, which will be held on Sunday afternoon. Two Worlds will be appearing at Mr. Thompson's alma mater, LDSS. For more information on the importance of wetlands, contact P.O.
