Committee holds dinner B elgraveThe news from Compiled by Helen Stonehouse Phone 887-9487 Couple visits Milk River Harold and Edith Vincent attended the 50th wedding anniversary festivities of cousins Irene (Bair) and Ken Welsh of Milk River, Alberta beginning with a barbecue and program on Friday evening, July 17, with family and close friends at the farm home of Donald and Gayna Welsh. A dinner and program for over 400 guests was held in the Civic Centre, Milk River, on Saturday evening, and a picnic for about 100 Officers elected at reunion Nineteen relatives attended the 22nd Yuill reunion which was held in the W.I. Hall, Belgrave, Sunday, July 26. George and Mary Johnston of Ilderton were in charge of games with prizes going to Mrs. Joyce Hill, coming the farthest; closest birthday to date, women, Laura Johnston; men, Bill Peacock; youngest, Claren Yuill, infant son of Cameron and Alice Yuill. Following a delicious pot luck supper a short business meeting was held. Officers for 1992 were: president, Cameron Yuill; secretary, Alice Yuill; games, George and Mary Johnston. Officers for 1994 will be: President, George Johnston; secretary, Mary Johnston; games, Kinsmen hold calendar draw Winners of this week's Belgrave Kinsmen calendar draw are: Sunday, July 19, Murray and Doreen Thompson, Belgrave, $50; Monday, July 20, Carl Riegling, Lucknow, $50; Tuesday, July 21, Douglas Dawe, Grand Bend, $50; Wednesday, July 22, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Aitchison, Ripley, $50; Thursday, July 23, Beverly Bentley, Brussels, $50; and Friday, July 24, Neil, Joan and Margaret Vincent, Wingham, $100. friends and relatives was held at Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park on Sunday. Harold re-visited the site of his parent's homestead in the Milk River area where he was bom and also the site of Roby and Mary Vincent's homestead. Harold and Edith also visited with long-time friends Walter and Lucille Bushfield of Balzac, Alberta, before returning home on July 21. Cameron and Alice Yuill; lunch, Joyce Hill and Laura Johnston. Relatives were present from: Tavistock, Ilderton, Bluevale, Wingham and Belgrave. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse, Thursday evening, July 23 were Mr. and Mrs. Maitland Edgar of Petrolia; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stewart of Bluevale; Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Thompson; Mary and Robert, Blyth; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Edgar, RR 4, Wingham; Mrs. Winnifred Johnston and Mrs. Irlma Edgar of Wingham. Following the supper, chairman Murray Scott called on Mr. and Mrs. George Cull to come forward and presented George with an engraved plaque and Chris with a centerpiece of flowers. They also gave them a gift for a weekend away. George replied thanking all committees for a well-planned and very successful weekend.
