NOM 1H0 V 519-523-4311 > Council files recyling letter continued from page 3 will use up the space in the site sooner. The Wednesday open day was chosen because various contractors who collect garbage in Blyth and urban areas of Hullett including Londesboro and Auburn pick up on that day. Reeve Cunningham won dered if garbage pick up could be switched to Friday which would allow a Saturday opening as well and one covering a week of the garbage. Reeve Lee said he had already talked to Blyth's contractor Jim Anderson who was willing to switch. Hullett councillors will talk to contractors in their township before Thursday's meeting. If Fri day pick up is possible, the com mittee will look at keeping the site open Friday from 9 to 4 to super vise the contractors and on Satur day morning for residential users. Meanwhile Blyth councillors decided to receive and file (take no action) on a letter from Bluewater Recycling Association on the pos sibility of recycling at the landfill site. Buildings costly to maintain continued from page 10 the demolition of the buildings which are in relatively good shape. County Administrator Nigel Bellchamber explained that there is little private sector capacity to rent the buildings and they would be expensive to maintain if they were empty. Lossie Fuller, Deputy-reeve of Exeter urged those planning reno vations to look carefully at renova tions made in the Day Centre where with a minimum of changes, larger rooms had been created out of smaller rooms. Wayne Lester, Huronview Administrator support ed those feelings, saying the day Centre has done a good job with its renovations and that those making recommendations on changes to the other buildings should have a look. A motion was passed to include the chairmen of the Huronview committee, and the Library and Health boards be included in the preliminary discussions on the recycling of the buildings. Police charge young offender A young offender has been charged after a single vehicle acci dent which occurred in Morris township on Sunday, July 5, at 3 a.m. A spokesperson from the Wing- ham OPP said that the driver was westbound on Cone 4/5 at 80 kil- metres an hour when he fell asleep. The car entered the south ditch and struck a stump. The driver was not injured.
