Homecoming a blast of a birthday party

The Blyth Optimist Club was present to wish East Wawanosh a Happy 125th on Saturday at
the parade.

Quilt display
Eva Snell of RR 3 Blyth stands beside the quilt her
maternal grandmother Mrs. John Beecroft made about 80
years ago sometime between 1912 and 1920. The quilt
was all hand sewn handmade mostly from woolen patches.

Double birthday
West Wawanosh brought its birthday greetings to the East
Wawanosh celebrations. West Wawanosh is also
Over 40 participants took part in the beard growing contest
as part of East Wawanosh’s birthday celebrations. Bill
Taylor of RR 1 Belgrave took first prize for the longest
beard at the judging competition on Friday evening.
Volleyball tournament
Enthusiasm was high among the participants of the volleyball tournament at the East
Wawanosh celebrations on Sunday afternoon.
