Homecoming a blast of a birthday party George and Chris Cull lead the way for the shirt tail parade through a Belgrave subdivision as part of East Wawanosh's Festivities on Sunday evening. Optimists The Blyth Optimist Club was present to wish East Wawanosh a Happy 125th on Saturday at the parade. K dunking tank entertained the masses at the East Wawanosh 125 celebrations on the weekend. Dunked Quilt display Eva Snell of RR 3 Blyth stands beside the quilt her maternal grandmother Mrs. John Beecroft made about 80 years ago sometime between 1912 and 1920. The quilt was all hand sewn handmade mostly from woolen patches. West Wawanosh is also Over 40 participants took part in the beard growing contest as part of East Wawanosh’s birthday celebrations. Bill Taylor of RR 1 Belgrave took first prize for the longest beard at the judging competition on Friday evening. Volleyball tournament Enthusiasm was high among the participants of the volleyball tournament at the East Wawanosh celebrations on Sunday afternoon.
