The Citizen, 1992-07-01, Page 20Graduation 1992 PAGE 20. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 1,1992. Graduation Mrs. Morton's grade eight class in Seaforth Public School graduated June 19. Back row, left to right: Christa Bennett, Christina Harrison, Sheila Litt, Lisa Gingerich, Karen Dillon, Christy Laycox, Dianne Dolmage, Mrs. Sheila Morton. Front row, left to right: Gabe Lawton, Michael Cooper, Joseph Shanklin, Jason Smith, Stephen Bell, Steven Leonhardt, Jared Gowan. Grey teacher, all that was promised continued from page 17 her precise teaching skills but her love and enthusiasm for the performing arts made us more aware that the world is still alive with the sound of music. French was also incorporated into our studies, especially in grade seven where Mrs. Coloughan, the French teacher, and Mrs. Whitmore took us on a memorable trip to Quebec. Now we come to grade eight, the end of a journey. Would the teacher behind the door be exactly as we had been forewarned? He was and more! Mr. C., a teacher dedicated to his job, forced us into reality by pouring endless responsibilities like homework assignments and tests upon us. However his wry sense of humour and his genuine concern for our educational future eased the pain. And to heal all wounds a fun trip to Toronto ended the school year. I am very honoured and proud to have been chosen to represent the graduating class of 1992. At this time on behalf of the graduates I would like to thank our parents and the teachers who have played a great part in setting the foundations for our future by their encourage ment and understanding. As I reminisced I remembered some of the tears I shed as a little girl because I didn’t want to come to school. Tonight there is a tear in my heart as I say, "Goodbye". So to my fellow classmates, as we look ahead - Give what you have to offer Set your boundaries high The wildest dreams all have a chance If someone dares to try. Knowledge is a special tool, That serves young people well Add hopes and dreams and good hard work, And only time will tell. There's no limit to your future Or your prospects for success For giving all you have to give Means finding happiness. Students say farewell to Hullett continued from page 18 Mr. Snell taught us grade six. He was easy to get talking and there fore we didn't get much work done. Mr. Talbot, on the other hand, believed strongly ig work and would let you know when you were pushing him too far. For our last year at Hullett, we had Mr. Medd, a new addition to our school. He has prepared us well for high school and taught us to laugh at ourselves. I would also like to mention our French teacher, Mr. Griffin, our music teacher, Ms Wyatt, our librarian, Mrs. Pietsch and our understanding principal Mr. Jewitt. All of these teachers have helped make us who we are now, teaching us how to tie our shoes and how to write essay answers. I would like to thank them for caring about us. As we now approach a new chap ter in our lives, we must say good bye to, but always remember, public school. Congratulations to the grads of 92. Have loads of fun in high school.
