Seaforth Tubbic School_______________ Seaforth graduation a celebration of the future BY CHRISTA LEONHARDT Here we are, at the brink of graduation, who would have guessed that when we enrolled in Kindergarten we would end up like this? Parents, teachers, friends and relatives: Today we not only celebrate our completion of Public School but also the beginning of our future education. I find it difficult to believe that it was nine years ago when we first walked through these doors. At the time, the days seemed to go by at a slow crawl, but now that it is nearly over, it seems like only yesterday when we were five years old and just entering Public School. We've all shared many fond memories over the years, and although the stories may become embellished from time to time, the memories will always be recalled with a smile. Throughout these years we were very fortunate to have you as parents and teachers to guide us through this somewhat hectic time. You have had to put up with the worrying, phone calls from the principal and having to help us with the new Math. Public school has laid down the base for our further education. It has helped us to shape and develop our morals, values and personalities ... and I am sure that will be reflected in our future decisions. I can't began to list all of the ways that our friendships have influenced us. Through ups and downs, good times and bad, smiles and tears, arguments and agreements, we've hung together. Class of '92 Mr. Snell's grade eight class of Seaforth Public School held their graduation ceremonies June 19. Back row, left to right: Stacy Linton, Mr. Rob Snell, Lindsey Seymour, Carla Nicholson, Christa Leonhardt, Patrick Gridzak, Darren Prest, Kevin Barry, Stephen Pearce, Scott Wood, Kevin MacDonald, Tonya Boniface, Katherine Southgate, Noelle Thompson, Tara McLellan, Geoff Dalton, Jennifer Forsyth- Gallagher, Shawna Jessome, Bobbi-Jo Cluett, Abram Hiebert. Front row, left to right: Christopher Saur, Brent Hildebrand, Sean Clark, Jeremy Beuermann, Jeff Lewington, Scott Wood. Absent: Susana Bergen, Heinrich Bergen, Cristina Martens. We were supported when we were afraid, reminded when we did something thoughtless and cheered up when we were down. I hope the friendships we've made will last a lifetime. Although we may go our separate ways in the years to come, nothing can break the bonds we have created to this point. I would like to thank parents, friends and teachers for guiding and supporting us throughout our elementary school years. I only hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have. It has helped us to look to the next few years with excitement... and a certain level of uncertainty about entering high school and becoming a grub. Within the next few years we will also experience getting our driver's license, creating new friendships and making crucial career choices. The majority of our graduating class is looking forward to high school and are ready to accept the responsibilities that come with it. We're up to the challenge. Thank you.
