Blyth Mosquitoes sting Clinton team by scoring five goals

Courtney brought the ball into the
goal crease then Brent Sauve beat
the goalie for the first one.
The second goal was scored by
April Van Amersfoort who out-
hustled the goalie after Michael
Courtney set her up. The third goal
was scored unassisted by Kelly
Boven.
Clinton came back at the end of
the first half to cut the Blyth lead to
two goals. The second half was
much the same and our fourth goal
was scored single-handed by Kelly
Boven. Blyth's final goal was set up
by Shawna Stryker who intercepted
a pass, then Jeff Cowan took it
from there to kick it home.
The final score was five to one in
Blyth's favour.

The Blyth Atom soccer team
(nine and ten-year-olds) played its
first game of the season against
Lucknow Lions on Monday, May
11.
Both teams were ‘up’ for this
first outing, but Blyth took control
early in the game and lasted to a
convincing 5-0 win. Two goals
each were scored by Matt
Anderson and David Ansley;
Jeremy Van Amersfoort had a
single.
The first away game was against
Goderich Leeds on May 19. This
time play was a little harder and
despite an excellent effort by the
team the game finished 2 - 1 for
Goderich with Matt Anderson
scoring again for Blyth.

(iii) The historical cost and accumulated depreciation of fixed assets are not reported for municipal purposes. Fixed assets are reported as an expenditure on the
consolidated statement of operations in the year of acquisition.
(iv) “Capital outlay to be recovered in future years” which represents the outstanding principal portion of unmatured long-term liabilities for municipal
expenditures or capital funds transferred to other organizations is, when such balance exists, reported on the consolidated balance sheet.
2. Operations of school boards and county
Further to note 1 (a) (ill) the taxation, other revenues, and requisitions of the school boards and County of Huron are comprised of the following:

3. Contributions to unconsolidated joint boards
Further to note 1 (a) (ii) the municipality has made a contribution to the Blyth District Fire Area Board of $ 26,414. (1990: $ 11,866) consisting of a levy of $ 21,504. and
fire calls of $ 4,910. (1990 levy $ 9,591; fire calls $ 2,275). The municipality's share of the fire area boards accumulated net revenue at December 31,1991 is $2,477.
(1990: $6,186).
4. Trust funds
Trust funds administered by the municipality amounting to $ 90,316. (1990: $ 89,131) have not been included in the consolidated balance sheet nor have operations
been Included in the consolidated statement of operations.
5. Municipal fund balances at the end of the year
The balances on the consolidated statement of operations of municipal equity of $ 151,683. (1990: $ 201,149) at the end of the year are comprised of the following:

6. Reserves and reserve funds
The total balance of reserves and reserve funds of $ 98,031 (1990: $ 172,407) consists of the following:

7. Contractual obligation - Ministry of Environment
In accordance with a service agreement entered into by the Municipality in 1978 with the Ministry of the Environment, the existing sewage system is owned and
operated by the Ministry. The Municipality is obligated to meet all operating costs and repay the long-term liabilities related to these projects.
Included in the consolidated statement of operations are the 1991 charges from the Ministry of $ 103,629. The consolidated balance sheet does not reflect any assets or
liabilities pertaining to the sewage system except to the extent of service charges due to the Ministry.
Information received from the Ministry as at March 31,1991 indicates the following:
