Belgrave library to remain open
despite scheduled closure
Despite its scheduled closure,
Belgrave library will be remaining
open.
Huron County Councillors adopt
ed a Library Board recommenda
tion March 5 to close seven county
library branches in order to trim
budget costs for 1992.
According to a spokesperson for
the Huron County Library, munici
pal council and county council
must both agree to the closure in
accordance to the Ontario Public
Library Act. Morris Council
refused to pass a motion approving
closure of the facilities.
Huron County Council must
accept Morris township's resolution

last service point for library facili

exist before joining the county
library system.
Commencing Thursday, May 21
the Belgrave library's hours will be
7:00 to 10:00p.m.
