Angelo Ippolito of St. James
Separate School in Seaforth is
attempting to get separate school
teachers from across the province
involved in the 'Save a Family
Plan', a charity which sends money
to developing countries to feed,
clothe and shelter families.
He first got involved with the
project on his own because he was
impressed with the charity's claim
that 100 per cent of the money
donated goes directly to developing
countries.

instructed the Road Superintendent
to give the road full winter
maintenance to County Road 19.
Council authorized a grant of
$100 to the Wingham and District
Community Living Association for
1992.
The next regular meeting of
Council is scheduled for May 19 at
7 p.m.
Then, he decided to get more
people involved. First, he proposed
that the teachers at his school get
involved by starting a voluntary
payroll deduction to adopt a family.
When this got underway, he
made the same suggestion to the
Huron-Perth Separate School board
who also liked the idea.
Now, Mr. Ippolito is planning to
entice separate school boards
province-wide to get involved.
If the ball keeps rolling, and
every separate school teacher in
Ontario donates $2 a month for 10
months to the plan, close to 300
families could be supported.
