Blyth Festival wants old books
If you are like most Ontario resi
dents, you've heard a lot about the
successful Blue Box program and
efforts to reduce garbage by recy
cling. The Blyth Festival is offering
the perfect opportunity to reduce
garbage by recycling old books.
Blyth Festival's Gigantic Used
Book Sale will be held on Satur
day, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
at Blyth Memorial.
“Now is the time for spring
cleaning and we'd be happy to take
your old books that you might want
to give away” says organizer Rob
Bundy. “We hope to accomplish
two things at once-recycle old
books that would otherwise stay in
someone's attic or bookshelf and
improve the selection of books for
our patrons. All proceeds go to the
Blyth Festival.”
Book drops have been set up
around the county to make it even
easier to donate books. Please leave
them at any of the following loca
tions before May 22: Bayfield Pub
lic Library; Beck's Variety,
Belgrave; Blyth Festival Box
Office; Maitland Valley Insurance
and The Citizen, Brussels; Clinton
News Record; Exeter Public
Library; Bluewater Office Equip
ment and Robert Evans Chev Olds,

Wingham Stationery.
■ Special events at the Book Sale
include a lunch counter featuring
gourmet delights from great Huron
County cooks, and a display of new
