Blyth Christian Reformed Church Calvinette Leaders, (left to right) Sandra Benjamins, Cheryl Bakelaar and Susan Buffinga joined in the singing at the Annual Calvinette Rally which the Blyth Calvinettes hosted Saturday at Blyth Public School. Calvinette groups from Blyth, Clinton, Exeter, Goderich, Kincardine, Lucknow, Owen Sound and Vanastra gathered for fellowship, singing, activities and an awards presentation to finish off this year's Calvinette season. Randy Banks and his wife Patti of McGregor, Manitoba were welcomed Sunday morning to the Walton-Bluevale pastoral charge on their weekend visit. They will be moving here in June with their family. At Duff's United, Walton, Doreen Hackwell greeted worship­ pers at the door following the cof­ fee time in the basement to meet Rev. Banks and his wife. Special music was enjoyed by pianist Margery Huether, violinist Phyllis Mitchell and Glenda Carter, organ­ ist. The offering was received by Laverne McClure, Fred McClure and Susan Carter. Graeme Craig was leader for the morning service and welcomed Rev. Banks and his wife. Rev Banks delivered his sermon, “The Irrepressible Gospel” then took the rest of the service. Next Sunday Don Vair will be guest speaker. The Sunday School will serve muffins and coffee fol­ lowing the May 3 morning service. The flowers in the church were placed in memory of Jessie Hillen who passed away in Seaforth this past Wednesday. The junior choir will practise at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, April 10. The spring bale is to be packed and sent after May 10. FARM AND MUNICIPAL DRAINAGE uywi Zero tax increase for Grey Twp.W J T Grey township council held its regular meeting on April 20 and adopted its 1992 budget. By utiliz­ ing its 1991 surplus, council was able to hold its 1992 increase to zero percent. A resolution was passed by coun­ cil requesting Huron County to investigate the possibility of installing a street light at the junc­ tion of County road No. 19 and Highway No. 86 in Molesworth. Council was informed that the composters ordered by the Walton Landfill Committee were available. The composters will be sold at a price of $20 each. They learned about weighing a horse. They also elected a president, vice president, secretary and news importance of a proper diet to the health of a horse. In meetings they discuss the digestive system, nutrients, hay and pasture. In this program they'll leam how to prevent colic , a dis­ ease caused by parasites.
