The Citizen, 1992-04-08, Page 25SAMUEL WILSON YUILL Samuel Wilson Yuill passed away at Sun Haven Nursing Home in Lambeth on Wednesday, April 1, 1992. He was in his 90th year. Mr. Yuill was a brother-in-law of Mary Yuill of Brussels. He was the dear uncle of Jim Bowman, Isabel M. Gunby joins The Citizen's advertising team MERLE GUNBY Keith Roulston, Publisher of The Citizen, announces the appointment of Merle Gunby as advertising representative for The Citizen and Rural Voice magazine. Mr. Gunby recently returned from a year-long stay in Grena­ da. Prior to that he had been advertising representative with Rural Voice for seven years. He brings an extensive knowledge of rural and farm life, having been a farmer and president of the Huron County Federation of Agriculture. He also served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Spring interment will be at Brussels Cemetery. EVA MARGARET FERGUSON Eva Ferguson passed away sud­ denly on Wednesday, April 1, 1992 at County of Bruce General Hospi­ tal in her 70th year. She was the beloved wife of Emerson Ferguson of Clifford and the loving mother of Ronald and Diane Ferguson of Blyth and Eve­ lyn and Steve Pomery of Kitchener. She was the loved grandmother of Stephanie, Jason, Kimberley and Jeffrey. Mrs. Ferguson was the dear sister of MaryBelle Peddle of Luc­ know, Irene Boyle of Meaford and Stanley Horsburgh of Wingham. Mrs. Ferguson rested at Betts Visitation Centre, Gorrie from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, April 3. Rev. Suzanne Stewart officiated at the funeral service which was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday from Trinity Anglican Church, Fordwich. Carrying her to her final resting place at Gorrie Cemetery, where interment will be held in the spring were pallbearers: Hector Browne, Doug Bunker, Jack Douglas, Ken Horton, Allan Dewar and Dave Dickert. Flower bearers were her grandsons Jason and Jeffrey. DOUGLAS MACDONALD Douglas Norman Macdonald of Goderich passed away in Universi­ ty hospital, London on Monday, March 23, 1992. He was 67. After retiring for six months, Mr Macdonald relumed to work for the Federal Business Development Bank and ran semi­ nars for small business. He was a member of Knox Pres­ byterian Church. Mr. Macdonald was born in Goderich on July 9, 1924. His par­ ents were Gordon and Alice (Mac­ Donald) Macdonald. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Dick) Macdonald. He will be sadly missed by his children, Tim and Claire Macdon­ ald of Goderich, Michael Macdon- aldof Winnipeg, David and Julie Aussem of Arthur, Michael and Sandy Aussem of Loncsboro, Paul and Anna Aussem of Hamilton, and Karen and Graham Dredge of Goderich. Dear grandfather of Jennifer, Kevin, Maxwell, Joshua and Sarah. Mr. Macdonald was predeceased by his first wife, Peggy Brophcy; two sisters, Enid Jewell and Una Macdonald; and one brother, Mur­ ray Macdonald. Funeral services were held al Knox Presbyterian Church in Goderich bn Friday March 27, 1992. Rev. David Nicholson of Knox Presbyterian Church officiat­ ed. Mailland Lodge #33 A.F. and A.M. held a memorial service on Thursday evening. Pallbearers were Fred Pcllow, Scan Pcllow, Wayne Pcllow, Bob Pcllow, Ron Young and Brian Mid­ dleton.
