tive at the Commission on Planning

io's public forum in Wingham,
Thursday April 2.
Only about fifty people showed
up to hear Commissioners John
Sewell and George Penfold explain
their draft goals and to clarify

Affairs Minister Dave Cooke
announced the appointment of the

would like to welcome
Jackie. Vaz
Jackie comes from Mississauga and has
brought her artistic talents with her.
Commission on Planning and
Development in Ontario. Three
Commissioners were appointed:
John Sewell, Toby Vigod and
George Penfold.
The task of these three Commis
sioners is to review the planning
system, make recommendations,
and then to make sure that action is
taken on them.
By working with six different
groups of 20 people across Ontario,
the three hope to form different
planning situations accomadating
the different regions of Ontario.
As Sewell states there are
presently two big players -the
provincial and municipal. It is time
someone clarified what each is
doing towards planning.
