Tuesday April 14, 7:30 p.m. upstairs at Brussels, Morris & Grey Community Centre Need a Ride? Call us Town & Country Homemakers 357-3222 East Wawanosh Clerk Winona Thompson is really enjoying working at her spacious new office in Belgrave. The East Wawanosh township office moved recently to its new home in Belgrave. The house, located at 14 Queen St was originally scheduled for demolition, but council saw it as too good an opportunity to pass up. The office was planned to be included in the new arena front, but after looking at the house, council agreed it was to good to tear down and would be more cost effective than the new office in the arena. In the previous municipal office adjacent to the township shed there was one main office on the bottom floor and the council chambers upstairs. Now each township employee has their own separate working area. With the renovations the building was made accessible to the handi capped. There is a multi-level ramp leading in to the front doors and the building's washroom is accessible as well. The council chambers are brighter than the previous location and there are offices upstairs for Road Superintendent Ralph Camp bell and Building Inspector Arnold Bruce. There are also two rooms upstairs for use by the History Book and Centennial committees. The official opening will be held early this summer. WE GOOFED!
