The Sunday School puts on the supper yearly to raise money for its programs. This year, over 200 people were served to a dinner of country ham, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, salads and numerous baked pies. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8,1992. PAGE 7. Hymn-sing at Knox Rev. Paul Ross conducted the morning service at Knox United Church and Nancy Park was organ­ ist. There was an early hymn-sing. Rev. Ross told the children's story and the Lord's Prayer was said in unison and “Jesus Loves the Little Children” was sung. The Responsive Psalm was read alter­ nately followed by the singing of Gloria. Hymn “Beneath the Cross of Jesus” was sung. Rev. Ross read the scriptures. Hymn “When I Sur­ vey The Wondrous Cross” was sung. Rev. Ross' sermon was entitled “Forward To The Past!” Rev. Ross gave the Prayers of Thanksgiving and Intercession and the offering was received by Greg Park and Larry Plaetzer and, for the Sunday School, brought forward by Kirk Stewart and Heidi Bragger and dedicated. Closing hymn was “Now We Thank Thee all Our God.” Rev. Ross pronounced the Benediction and the response “To God The Father” concluded the service. Next Sunday, April 12 , Sacra­ ment of Holy Communion will be celebrated. Good Friday service will beheld at Knox United Church, Auburn at 11 a.m. The meeting of the U.C.W. will be held at Knox Church on Tues­ day evening, April 21. Once again there was a good turnout to the Sunday School coun­ try supper. Linda Plaetzer thanked all for the support, food, donations and help to have it be a success. 7 tables at euchre There were seven tables in play at the euchre game on Tuesday evening, March 31 at the Commu­ nity Hall. Results were: high lady, Lou Issac; low lady, Feme Howatt; high man, Carmen Brindley; low man, Harold McClinchey and nov­ elty table, Ruby Pattison.
