Mr. Wood's jump of 5.60 metres
topped his previous record of 5.55
metres.
The "Auburn Youth" performed a medley of songs at the Valentine Talent Evening held in
Hullett Central Public School on Friday night. Here the choir of little performers sings "He's
Got the Whole World in His Hands", complete with choreography.
Hosp. Aux. answers quiz
Members of the Auxiliary to
Wingham and District Hospital
held their January meeting with
President Mary Lou Cameron in
charge.
Pat Bingeman Pietrek, Director
of Rehabilitation Services at the
Wingham and District Hospital was
guest speaker. Members were
quizzed on their knowledge of the
rehab centre, learning it had 1,763
clients in 1990 - 1991 with 13,400
attendances.
Physiotherapy, speech-language
pathology, social work, kinesiology
and occupational therapy were the
rehabilitation disciplines represent
ed by the staff of eight Among oth
ers, some of the programs offered
are the arthritis education back pro
gram, developmental stimulation,
direct referral services, hearing aid
maintenance and post partum exer
cises. The newest addition to the
inpatient program is discharge
planning.
Mrs. Bingeman Pie trek also said
volunteer help would be most wel
comed at the Rehabilitation Ser
vices Department.
The annual meeting will be held
in May.
