"Tiger Dunlop" was written in honour of the county's sesquicentennial celebration and has been performed for students in the county. E ntertainment Megan Follows, Stratford’s Juliet Huron-Bruce M.P. Murray Cardiff, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and long standing Member of Parlia­ ment for Huron-Bruce, will attend the opening day of the Canadian International Farm Equipment Show at the International Centre in Toronto. ________ Mr. Cardiff will speak Tuesday, February 4 at the Farm Show's annual kick-off luncheon. The lun­ cheon is attended by members of the farm press and the Board of Directors of the Canadian Farm and Industrial Equipment Institute. First elected to the House of Commons in 1980 as the Progres­ sive Conservative Member of Par­ liament for the riding of Huron-Bruce, and re-elected in 1984 and 1988, Mr. Cardiff served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Solicitor General from 1986 to 1988, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Don Mazankowski from April 1989 to May 1991, and as Parliamentary Secretary to the BE WATER SMART. Mr. Cardiff has taken an increas­ ingly active role in promoting Canadian agriculture abroad. He has represented the Canadian Gov­ ernment on trade missions to South-east Asian, the People's Republic of China, the United Kingdom and Europe. Most re­ cently Mr. Cardiff attended the 10th Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Agriculture in Madrid, Spain, and the 26th FAO Confer­ ence and The Commonwealth Min­ isters of Agriculture Meeting in Rome, Italy. The Canadian International Farm Equipment Show runs February 4 to 7 at the Toronto International Centre, 6900 Airport Road, Missis­ sauga. It is one of North America's premier indoor farm shows and attracts more than 50,000 visitors each year. The show is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Recreation BrewerS ONTARIO Megan Follows will play Juliet in the Festival's 40th Season main- stage production of William Shakespeare's tragic love story Romeo and Juliet. Miss Follows is best known internationally as Anne in Anne of Green Gables (CBC), for which she won a Best Actress Gemini Award, and Anne of Avonlea: The Sequel (CBC, PBS, Disney), which earned her an ACE Award nomina­ tion and a second Gemini Award for Best Actress in 1988. Bom in Toronto, the daughter of respected Canadian actors Dawn Greenhalgh and Ted Follows, she began her career at the age of nine and one year later made her film debut in the Canadian short film Clare's Wish.
