Brussels' festive decorators win for best show in town MURRAY’S BARBER SHOP Totally radical design Exterior decorator Greg and Nancy Ducharme of Brussels were the winners of the Mason's contest Best Decorated House. Greg, left, accepts the award , which was donated by Cardiff and Mulvey Insurance and Howick Mutual Insurance from Keith Mulvey. Nancy was unable to be in the picture as she and the couple's newborn son, Evan, were still in the hospital. Blyth United holds pageant Murray's Barber Shop in Brussels, with its colourful Ninja Turtle window, took the prize for Best Decorated Business. The award was donated by The Citizen and the contest was coordinated by the Masons. Bonnie Gropp, of The Citizen staff presented Murray Lowe with the award. Blyth United Church held its annual Christmas Pageant and White Gift Service on December 15 with the church sanctuary beau­ tifully decorated with several poin- settias and Christmas arrangements in memory of loved ones by their families. Greeting the worshipers were Barb and Terry Richmond. Ushers were Evelyn and Mark Caldwell, David Craig and Adam Blair. Karen Coultes was in charge of the nursery. Cheryl Cronin led in a carol sing­ song before the service. Rev. Ramirez opened the service with the lighting of the Advent Candles. Lorna Fraser, Sunday School Superintendent, presented the annu­ al Christmas pageant “Bom In a Manger” enacted by the Sunday School children. The senior choral anthem was “Glory To God in the Highest”. Loma thanked all teachers and chil­ dren who helped and especially Gayle Poore and John Ramirez who accompanied the many carols sung. The Sunday School children, Blyth Brownies and Senior Teen Club brought their White Gift parcels to the altar. These are to be given to the Huron County Christ­ mas Bureau. Rev. Ramirez thanked all who took part in the service and closed with Benediction and Choral Response.
