Gloria Wilbee welcomed every­ one and opened the concert with prayer. The nursery class consisting of Adam McClure, Elysia Townsend, Andrew McDonald, and Mark Wilbee acted the finger play. “How to decorate a Christmas Tree” was put on by the Beginner class. Taking part were Brittany Holmes, Patricia McClure, Mandy Mitchell, Sarah McDonald, Robbie McClure, Jennifer McClure, Ash­ ley Saur and Kevin Wilbee. The children ended with singing, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”. Gloria Wilbee gave a reading, “’Twas the Night Before Jesus” followed by Kevin Wilbee giving a violin solo. The Primary class put on the play “No Room In The Inn” consisting of Katie Emmrich, Jeff Linton, Tina McClure, Scott McDonald, Paui Linton, Kelly McDonald, Dar­ rell McClure and Nicholas Saur. They sang “He's Too Fat For The Chimney” accompanied on the piano by Linda McDonald. This was followed by piano solo McGavin as pianist, led by Gloria. The play “Once upon a Some­ time Street” was put on by the senior class. Taking part were Shannon Davies, Stacy Linton, Jamie McCallum, Lee Ann McDonald, Jamie Emmrich, Randy Linton, Chad McCallum, Kerrie McClure, Neil Saur and Colleen McCallum. The Junior choir sang, “O Christmas Tree - Rockin' around” singing were Shannon Davies, Katie Emmrich, Colleen McCallum, Kelly McDonald, Melissa Dube, Stacy Linton, Janice McCallum and Lee Ann McDon­ ald. They were accompanied by Marion Godkin at the piano and Gloria Wilbee with the electric gui­ tar. Marie was called back to play Jingle Bells. That brought a visit from Santa who talked to the chil­ dren and gave out a bag of candy to each one. Walton Sunday School teachers are: Nursery class, Nita McClure and Linda Saur; Beginner class, Heidi McClure and Connie Townsend; Primary class, Linda McDonald and Ruthie Uyl; Senior Class, Donna McClure and Sue Hannon. The Junior Choir sang an anthem. Graeme Craig sang a solo, “Silent Night”. Lighting of the first two Advent Candles took place at the Advent Service on Joy. The Junior choir is to meet at the * Church for a sleigh riding party on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 4:15 p.m. Senior Choir practice at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19. Christmas Eve Service is planned for Duffs United Church, Walton at 7:30 p.m. WZ plans luncheon Marjory Humphries held a meet­ ing for Subdivision 11 of the Guelph Area of the Women's Insti­ tute in the Walton Hall on Tuesday, December 10. Attending were 25 members from Centre Perth, North rth and Huron East Districts. Marjory is Board Director of the Guelph Area of the Federated Insti­ tute of Ontario. The Walton Women's Institute is planning to have turkey roll on the menu for their luncheon this Wednesday, December 18. In the evening members are invited to the home of Margaret Mclnroy for the Christmas meeting.
