Aux outlines remodelling project President Leona Towton wel comed Clinton Public Hospital Auxiliary members to their Christ mas luncheon and hospital decorat ing meeting, and spoke of several members who were absent because of illness. The hospital Christmas party is to be held on December 14, at the Legion Hall. In order to raise funds for the purchase of equipment, the hospital is selling tickets on a Caribbean Cruise. These tickets are available at the admitting office. The Auxil iary is selling tickets for a draw for a ‘Loonie Tree’. They can be bought at the Auxiliary Gift Shop located near the hospital main entrance. The remodelling project on the second floor was outlined. Ongoing services have been relocated and patients have been moved to allow for the building to begin. The planned completion date is April 1992. Sharon Veitch reported on an enjoyable Provincial Teen volun teer conference which was held in Toronto on November 9. A new teen volunteer newsletter was dis tributed and a bulletin board has been erected to hold photos and news items for the teen groups. Uniforms are needed. Following discussion, it was decided to pur chase striped jackets to add to the striped uniforms already on hand. Patti Munnings reported on her progress in introducing a support care service. There will be more on this at the next meeting. The TV rental program was received. Whether to continue with the program as it is now, or whether some changes should be made, will be decided at a future meeting when information will be presented on the TV rental pro grams in surrounding hospitals. A lovely Christmas luncheon was served by the cafeteria staff. Fol lowing this meal, the auxiliary members with Bernice Jewson as convenor, decorated the hospital, adding a touch of colour in the quiet areas, halls and admitting. The next meeting will be held on January 6, 1992, at 10 a.m., in the hospital conference room. Guests are most welcome to attend these meetings. g SPIRITOF WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11,1991. PAGE 15.
