The Hobby Horse Club won the High Point Club Award for the horse club with the highest points at the County Horse Show. Presenting the award were Donna Lynn Armstrong and Michael Pentland on behalf of the Hallrice Dairy Club which donated the award. JAMES COLIN MCNEIL James Colin McNeil of Brussels passed away on Sunday, November 17, 1991 at Wingham and District Hospital. He was 81. Mr. McNeil served in the Royal Canadian Air Force between 1941 and 1946. He is a member of the Historical Automobile Society of Canada Maitland Valley Region and a member of the Royal Canadi­ an Legion Branch 218 Brussels. Mr. McNeil was the beloved hus­ band of Jean McNeil and the loving father of Don and Susan McNeil of Brussels, Shirley and Ron Higgins of Stratford and the late James McNeil, who predeceased him in 1980. Mr. McNeil will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Cindy, Michelle and Dan McNeil, Terry Higgins, Karen Bailey, Wanda Cleland, Paula and Teresa McNeil, and by his daughter-in-law Dianne McNeil of Walkerton. He is survived as well by a brother Cecil McNeil of London and four great­ grandchildren. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 218 held a memori­ al service at 9 p.m. on Monday, November 19. Funeral services were conducted al Betts Funeral Home in Brussels the following afternoon at 1 p.m. Bearing floral tributes were Dan, Terry, Cindy, Michelle, Paula, Teresa, Wanda, Karen, Doug and Kent. Active pallbearers were Melvin McNeil, Charlie Thomas, Charlie Shaw, Ross Procter, Doug Lowe and Alvin McLellan. Hon- ourary pallbearers were Bill Brem- ner, Tom Miller Jr., Bill Dobson, Jim Armstrong, Doug Burt, George Michie, Dave Miller, and Bill Bea- com. Mr. McNeil's final resting place will be at Brussels Cemetery. Donations were made to the Royal Canadian Legion Building Fund or a charity of one's choice. ISABEL ADAMS Isabel Adams, nee Lowrey, of Brussels, died at her residence on Saturday, November 9, 1991. She was 84. Mrs. Adams is survived by one niece, Paul-Ann Veliath of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and a daugh­ ter-in-law, Viola Adams of Brus­ sels. She was predeceased by her hus­ band Cameron Adams in 1962; one brother Clifford Lowrey; and one sister-in-law Pauline Lowrey. Funeral services were held on November 12, 1991 from Belts Funeral Home, Brussels, with the Reverend Carolyn MacAvoy offici­ ating, Interment Brussels Ceme­ tery. Flowerbearers were Nancy Gow- ing and Joan Mair and pallbearers were Andy Adams, John Adams, Dave Adams, Steve Adams, Mike Vrooman and Bob Siemon. As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to Melville Presbyterian Church. Drink and drive and you’ll get a lot of support.
