The club holds several breakfasts a year to raise money fcr community activities. Cheerio Club holds meeting The November meeting of the Cheerio Club was held on Wednesday afternoon, November 20 at the home of Laura Lyon. Estella Adams opened the meeting and welcomed everyone and read a poem called “A Man Youth Group conducts United service Greeters at Londesboro United Church on Sunday, Nov. 24 were Roy and Marie Krauter. Ushers were Kent Shillinglaw, Billy Jim Scott, Kevin Wright, and Kevin Shillinglaw. Denise Hulley gave the children's story. The service was conducted by the Senior Youth Group. There will be no Bible Study or Prayer Group this week. The Senior Youth Group will meet at Paul's place Nov. 28 from 8-10 p.m. for movie night. Bring snacks and something to drink. Session and Stewards are called to meet on Monday, Dec. 9 al 8 p.m. in the Sunday School room. The official board will meet same night at 9 p.m. Junior Youth Group will be having a Food Drive for Huron County Family Services on Thursday, December 5 at 7 p.m. OPP begin RIDE Must Want”. Lunch was served by Ora Bruce, Estella Adams and Laura Lyon.Collection and draw money were Sandee Ryan, R.R.4, Walton made a great entry into the Huron County 4-H Awards circle Friday night when she won the Warden's award for the novice 4-H member with the highest score in the county. She also won the C. S. McNaughton Memorial Award for having the highest mark of any 4-H member and the John Franken Memorial Award for the 4-H member with the highest score in horse clubs, presented here by Emma Franken. Brad Knight Township of Grey program OPP detachments across the province are launching their annual RIDE program this weekend. According to a spokesperson from the Wingham OPP the initia­ tive will be launched on Friday through press and media releases. Actual spot checks will begin on December 1 and will continue ran­ domly in the area until January 4.
