BY SANDY RIJKHOFF
The “Milk Makes a Difference”
meeting started when Becky
McLaughlin opened the meeting
and Mrs. Exel was introduced.
She showed members her way of
making yogurt. She poured a litre
of milk into a pan and cooked the
milk on the stove, then put the milk

in the microwave. After she put
white powder in the milk called
culture. The milk has to be unpas
teurized to make yogurt.
Yogurt takes four hours to be
made. After she poured the milk
and culture into 12 glass jars.
The jars were put in an electric
yogurt maker. It kept the jars al a
certain degree of temperature. Later
members got a chance to try some
yogurt she had made that morning.
Everyone enjoyed the yogurt.
