Happy Gang meets
The October meeting of Happy
Gang Seniors was held on Wednes
day, October 30. It began with a
pot luck dinner.
Happy Birthday was sung for the
October birthdays. The meeting
was opened with “O Canada”.
The minutes of the September
meeting were read. Reta Kelland
gave the financial report. June
Fothergill gave a reading on Santa
Claus. Betty Hulley reported on the
Seniors' Dances. The next Senior
Dance is on November 20 at 8 p.m.
The orchestra is “The Purple
Grovers”.
The November meeting is on
Wednesday, November 27 at 12
noon at the Londesboro Hall. This
is the Christmas dinner meeting.
There will be no meeting in
December. Those going should let

15. Each couple is to bring an item
for the January meeting. There will

man); men's low, Orville Kelland.

announce the passing of Mr. Cliff
Saundercock, Saturday, at Clinton
Hospital. The sympathy of the

This was Hymn-Sing Sunday and
a special Sunday for the Sunday
School. Former Sunday School
Teachers and Superintendents were
honoured. The Sunday School

first euchre
The first euchre of the season
was held at Londesboro Hall on
Friday evening, November 1.
There were eleven tables of
euchre. Ladies' high was Marie
Krauter; ladies' lone hands, Alberta
Stevens; ladies' low, Helen Law-
son; men's high, Les Reid; men’s
lone hands, Harvey Dolmage;
men's low, Marion Haggitt (playing
as a man). The next euchre will be
held on Friday, November 29 at 8
p.m.
Shuffleboard
The first night of Shuffleboard
was held at Hullett Central School
on Wednesday evening, October 30
at 8 p.m. High man was Lome
Dale; high lady, Betty Dale. There
were 13 in attendance.

covenanting service with staff, stu

Lord” was sung in two parts.
Refreshments were served after the
service.
Junior Youth Group will meet
Thursday, November 7 from 7-9
p.m. at Paul's place for a “Win,
Lose or Draw” tournament.
The Youth and Youth Teachers
Event is Sunday, November 10
from 3-8 p.m. at Ontario Street
United Church, Clinton. Cost is $4
for supper.
