The November meeting of the official board of Duff's United Church met on Sunday evening in the church basement with 12 mem­ bers present. New members will be needed for the coming year. Anyone wishing to help out and volunteer is most welcome. The church history books are still available and will be on sale at the turkey supper at the church, Wednesday, November 6 or you can still call Marilyn McDonald at 887-6658. In the business discussions it was decided the Sunday School Concert would be held Sunday, December 15 at 2 p.m. On Sunday, George Cowan was in charge of the morning service. The Sunday School provided muffins and coffee after the service followed by a social time. Next Sunday Don Vair of Bel­ grave will take the service at 10 The third meeting of the “Dairy Dudes” for Walton 3, 4H club was held at the home of Sharon Godkin. It was opened with the 4H pledge. All members answered the roll call: “Name a cheese that is made in Canada”. No one had a problem answering that question. Later on in the meeting the mem­ bership divided into two groups, one making Lemon Raspberry Mini Cheesecakes, while the other made Salmon Quiche. Then they tasted both and the dishes were much enjoyed. The meeting was closed with the 4H motto. The fourth meeting of the “Dairy Dudes” was held at the home of Laura McKercher. After the open­ ing, each member answered the roll call: “What's your ice cream I.Q.?” Members then divided into two groups. One group made Strawber­ ry Sherbet while the other group made homemade vanilla ice cream. These desserts were enjoyed by all. They tasted great! The Seaforth 4H club invited the members to go with them to the cheese factory in Mitchell. All members decided to go. The meeting was adjourned and closed with the 4H motto. On October 25 the Walton 3, 4H club went with the Seaforth Club for a tour of the cheese factory in Atwood where they saw how cheese was made. The tour was well guided of the whole factory. After the tour, members sampled the kinds of cheese. The Dairy Dude members went back to the home of Lori Perrie for meeting five, opening with the 4H pledge and answering the roll call. Then they made two different kinds ?f dip. The leaders brought vegeta­ bles and crackers to try with the dip. Both of them tasted great! The People visit On Sunday Emerson and Phyllis Mitchell were hosts at their home to members of their family in the - area, along with Kathleen Cuthill of Seaforth; Jack and Luella Mitchell, Brussels; Helen Mitchell of Lis- towel; Fred and Sadie Cole, Strat­ ford and Les and Addie Hurst who have been visiting relatives in this area and will leave on Monday for their home at Dodsland, Alta. Each menu should have had <ie right amount of servings from each food group. To end off the club they each made a sundae with many different toppings. The sun­ daes were a real nice treat to have occasionally. The meeting was closed with the 4H motto. Thanks is extended to Ruth Axtmann and Ruth Schade for leading the interesting club.
