Couple marries in lawn ceremony in Brussels Linda and Richard Wilson TEN PAS-WILSON Linda Michele Ten Pas and Richard Brian Wilson were united in marriage Aug. 10, 1991 in a lawn ceremony at the Brussels home of the bride's parents, Hank and Agnes Ten Pas. The groom is the son of Norman and Joy Wilson of Oshawa. Despite a threatening shower after noon, it turned out to be a beautiful day for an outdoor wed­ ding. Officiating was Rev. Gary Veeneman, friend of the family, from Fruitland. Matron of honour was Patricia McKay of Brussels, sister of the bride. Bridal attendants were Jen­ nifer Thomson, Vancouver Island, friend of the bride, and April Ten Pas, London, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Candice Ross, neighbour and friend of the bride. Best man was David Morris, Oshawa, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Arthur West, Oshawa, friend of the groom and Shane Ellis, Oshawa, friend of the groom. Ushers were Paul Ten Pas, Toronto, brother of the bride, Danny Torok, North Vancouver, birth brother of the bride, Kelsey Torok, North Vancouver, birth brother of the bride and Nathan Torok, North Vancouver, birth brother of the bride. Ringbearer was Michael Torok, North Vancou­ ver, birth brother of the bride. John Visser played the organ and sang a duet with the bride's mother: "A Love Until the End of Time". The scripture reading was given by Teresa deVries, Listowel, aunt of the bride. Pipers during the signing of the marriage register were Mari- ann and Murray Bone, Brussels, friends of the bride and groom who played "Amazing Grace". After the ceremony the guests were entertained with refreshments at the Ten Pas home until 7 p.m. when a dinner and reception were held in the Brussels Legion. Guests were entertained around 10 p.m. by the Brussels Legion Pipe Band. Guests attended the wedding cer­ emony from Vancouver, London, Oshawa, Toronto, Thorold, St. Catherines, Guelph, Waterloo, Hamilton, Listowel, Seaforth, Hen- sall, Wingham and Brussels. The couple honeymooned in Vancouver for 10 days. They now reside in Thorold where they are both employed. Newlyweds reside near Brussels TERPSTRA - MARKLEVITZ Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wingham was decorated in the colours of the rainbow on Sat­ urday, August 10 at one o'clock for the service uniting Sheila Ann Marklevitz of Wingham and Anthony Charles Terpstra of Brus­ sels in marriage. Rev. Joe Nevitt performed the double-ring ceremony. Mary Terp­ stra, sister of the groom was organ­ ist and Mariam Terpstra, aunt of the groom was soloist. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. George Marklevitz of Wing­ ham and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Terpstra of Brussels. The bride pro­ ceeded down the aisle on the arm of her father, who gave her in mar­ riage. For her special day the bride chose a lovely floor-length, white satin gown accented with lace, sequins and pearls, with full-length sleeves, and a sweetheart neckline. The dress had a large back bow from which fell a chapel train. Her headwreath of pearls, sequins and flowers held her tiered veil. She carried a bride's Bible with pink sweetheart roses accented with pearls. The bride's honour attendant was Sheri Marklevitz of Wingham, sis­ ter of the bnde. Her cocktail-length gown of pastel pink taffeta was accented with white antique lace, and bow at waist. In similar gowns in shades of mint green, blue and mauve were the bridemaids Heather McGavin, friend of the bride of Walton, Anna Terpstra, sister of the groom of Brussels and Mary Beth Johnston, friend of the bride of Bluevale. They carried white roses, baby's breath, fem and carnations in shades to match their gown. The flower girl was Ashley Marklevitz, godchild of the bride Sheila and Anthony Terpstra and groom. Her dress was while organza accented with lace. Her flowered hcadwrealh was in rain­ bow shades to match the brides­ maids. Adam deJong of Waterloo, cousin of the groom was ring­ bearer. Joe Terpstra, brother of the groom was best man. Ushers were Chuck Terpstra, brother of the groom; Don Schaefer of Walker­ ton, uncle of the bride and Greg Ryan of Brussels, friend of the groom. They wore black tuxedos with cummerbunds and tics to match the bridesmaids. The bride's mother chose a peach coloured dress with matching rose­ bud corsage. The groom's mother wore a dusty rose dress with match­ ing rosebud corsage. Sheila and her attendants were chauffeured to the church and fol­ lowing the ceremony, the happy couple enjoyed their ride to Brus­ sels in a 1936 Princess Rolls Royce. A reception was held at the Brus­ sels, Morris and Grey Community Center where eyes were drawn to an arch in a rainbow of colours. Following a honeymoon to a secluded cottage along Lake Huron the happy couple is living at RR 4, Brussels. ANGLICAN CHURCH OF CANADA Rev. E.
