Community happenings New grader The new grader from Champion Road Graders arrived at the East Wawanosh Township shed on Tuesday, September 17. Jennifer's calf Mr. and Mrs. Philip Stopforth of Oak Brook, Illinois, U.S.A, was baptized on Sunday, September 15 at St. John's Evangelist Anglican drea visited for one week with her mother Mrs. Elizabeth Procter, Bel­ grave. The September meeting of the Women's Institute was held on Tuesday night, beginning with a tour of the Gingerbread Doll Muse­ um at Wroxeter. The exceptional variety in the hundreds of dolls on display was of great interest to the ladies, most of whom could recall having a similar doll during their childhood. During the business meeting at the hall the Huron County Rally was announced to be held in Seaforth on October 7 and the London Area Convention to be held in Norwich on October 10. Classes for Christ­ mas Craft ideas will be held in Clinton on October 29 and in Mitchell on October 30. The W.I. will have a sale table at the Craft Sale sponsored by the Guides and Brownies on November 9. The meeting came to a close with lunch served by Mrs. Dorothy Coultes and Mrs. Aileen Leddy. Knox Presbyterian Church, Bel­ grave held their church anniversary on Sunday, September 15. The guest minister was Rev. Paul Chambers from the Molesworth and Gorrie Presbyterian charge. Mrs. Cheryl Cronin of Blyth sang "The Stranger of Galilee" and "Hold Thou My Hand" accompa­ nied by Mrs. Hazel Dalrymple, church organist. Mr. and Mrs. Perrie PowcL1 of Mission City, B.C., Miss Lillian Powell of Seaforth and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wallace of Egmondville visited on Saturday, September 14 with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Vincent. Mr. and Mrs. Lome Campbell visited last weekend with her aunt Mrs. Doris Scott of Midland. Mrs. Shirley Nichol and her daughter Susan of Brampton spent a couple of days with her mother Mrs. Jean Wightman. Charged is John Dunlop of Little Current. A spokesperson from the Wing- ham OPP said Mr. Dunlop moved onto Queen St., from a parked posi­ tion on the east side of the road. His 1989 Lincoln struck a north­ bound 1990 Ford pick-up driven by Tom Cronin, 59 of Blyth. The truck was owned by Radford Auto. Physiotherapy Department: A program developed by Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Recreation to reduce the risk of sports injury and ensure that injuries that do occur, are handled responsibly, was held Tuesday and Thursday, September 17 and 19. It was held in the Physiotherapy Department at Seaforth Community Hospital. Response has been good with 18 registrants including parents, volunteers and coaches of those participating in winter sports. Activation Group: The Activation Group has enjoyed several musical presentations in recent weeks. These include entertainment from Lloyd Otterbein and Rev. Horst, as well as Marcy and Carali McCall dancing. An interesting candle making activity was presented on Tuesday. PROD.
