Bulls opening night roster shaping up Brussels Bulls’ opening night roster is beginning to take shape as Manager Steve Coulter has 15 players signed to date. Jeff Roy returns as an overage player and will be joined in goal by Seaforth native Trevor Fortune who has Junior C experience with the Goderich Sailors. Steve Michie, Jason Baier, and Joe Walker are returning to the Bulls blueline core where they will be joined by 16 year olds Jeff Potvin and Quade Lightbody from Port Elgin. Jamie Gibbings and for mer Bull Jeff Coulter are also still in camp. On the forward lines Jeff McKee, Steve Fritz, Brian Zabel and Sam Kulafofski have all signed as well as newcomers Ted Sills from the Seaforth Junior D's; Stratford natives Brian Taylor and Jamie Hislop, both of whom played in Mitchell last season and Milverton winger Jamie Scott who played in Wellesley with Jeff Coulter. Brussels Bulls lose exhibition opener If the Brussels Bulls could change one thing about yesterday's exhibition opener with the Orangeville Crushers, the answer would be easy: The First Period. The Crushers came out flying and flashed the red light eight times in the first frame and then hung on for an 11-7 win. The only bright spot in the period for the Bulls was a goal by Sam Kulafofski. That was a sign of things to come. The second year winger fired four goals on the day, including three in a 10-minute span in the second. Brian Zabel, Adam Rogers and Breti Long had the other Bulls' markers. Andy Graham paced the Twp. anniversary posters continued from page 25 Class 254A. The center ice picture is as yet unclear as Brett Long is deciding whether to return or play college hockey and Shawn Chipchase has returned to Clinton to play high school and Midget hockey. Troy Fischer from Teeswater is the most impressive of the center men in camp while the Bulls are awaiting word on the availability of Todd Norman and Scott Vader, two Wallace Twp. products still vying for positions with the Stratford Jr. B's. Upcoming exhibition games include the Bulls travelling into Orangeville Friday night while the Niagara West Champion New Hamburg Spirit bus into Listowel for a 2:30 start Sunday afternoon. Crushers attack with a hat trick. The two teams will lock horns again this Friday in Orangeville at 8 p.m. Sunday's game featured mostly rookies vying for a spot on both teams with the Bulls only playing four veterans. The Bulls played seven players 16 years old or younger. Friday will see more regulars in the line-up. Coach Scott Pettigrew said, “We wanted to be tested early in the pre-season schedule and that is why we decid ed to play Orangeville and New Hamburg who last year won their respective league titles.
