THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4,1991 NOTICES NOTICES NOTICES NOTICES REAL ESTATE FOR SALE NOTICE OF THE PASSING OF A BY-LAW affecting the Hamlets of Bluevale, Belgrave and Walton, in the Township of Morris By-law No. 15-1991 Being a By-law to Regulate Open Air Burning Whereas, Section 210, SS 28 of the Municipal Act, RSO 1980 provides for a Council of a Local Municipality to prescribe for the Whole of any part of the Municipality, the times which fires may be set in the open air and the precautions to be observed by persons setting out fires; And Whereas, the council of Township of Morris deems it necessary to regulate open-air burning within the Hamlets located in the Township of Morris, namely the Hamlet of Belgrave, Hamlet of Bluevale and the Hamlet of Walton, within the jurisdiction of the Township of Morris; Now therefore, the council of the Corporation of the Township of Morris enacts as follows: 1/ That no person shall light, ignite or start a fire of any kind, in the open air within the Hamlets of Belgrave, Walton and Bluevale, In the limits of the Township of Morris, unless the fire Is restricted by a grate or screen: 2/ That, for the purposes of the by-law "Fire" includes the burning of leaves, rubbish or other material, a bonfire, a campfire, or any other fire In a yard, field or other open place, but does not Include a small confined fire supervised at all times by a competent person, which is used to cook food, such as a grill or barbecue. 3/ Every person who contravenes any provision of this by-law is guilty of an offence and shall, upon conviction thereof, forfeit and pay a penalty of not more than $1,000.00 exclusive of costs and EVERY SUCH FINE IS RECOVERABLE UNDER THE PROVINCIAL OFFENCES ACT, 1981. 4/ That this By-law shall come into force and effect upon the date of the final passing, thereof, and supercedes all former By­ laws passed under the Authority of the regulations of this Act.
