Watch out it could be you!
You just never know who might be lurking around your backyard,
obviously someone was in my backyard recently looking at the weeds
in my garden. I know this because I had a visit from, no other than ...
THE WEED INSPECTOR. Yes, such a man exists ... His name is Joe
Glbscn. When he visited my home on July 17, 1991, I was cooking
supper and saw two persons, unknown to me, looking around my
backyard. I watched them go to my garden and gaze at it. I then decided
to see why these strange people were in my yard. When I approached
these men and asked them if I could help them, Joe announced that he
was the Weed Inspector for Huron County. I bust myself laughing and
asked where the hidden camera was. After Joe telling me four or five
more times that “yes, seriously I am the Weed Inspector”, I asked him
for I.D., when he gave his official card to me, I laughed even harder. I
asked him at that time, why he was at my home. By this time he and his
assistant were laughing as well ... and I still believed this to be a
practical joke. Joe then told me that someone in Blyth had actually
reported to the clerk in Blyth that my garden was a mess of weeds, and
was a danger to asthmatics and people with allergies. (Also to note
here, both my son and I have asthma and allergies, and we have not
been affected by these weeds, and we are alive and well) ha ... ha ... I
told this to Joe and asked him, if I didn't cut my weeds down, was he
going to arrest me? He laughed even harder and said no, but if I didn't
cut them down, he would, at a nominal charge. I asked him to leave it
for a week. He agreed to.
I called the village of Blyth's clerk's office ... I could hardly contain
myself, I was laughing so hard. I asked our clerk “who had sicked the
Weed Inspector on me". I was then told that It was my estranged
husband who wanted me and my “DEADLY WEEDS” reported. Well I
would like to publicly invite Don Carter to come pick my weeds for me
... If they bothered him. I would also like to invite anyone who supports
Don Carter's behaviour to please help him take down my weeds. I will
not look at this as breaking the restraining order, I will applaud this and
accept his gardening abilities in lieu of child support payments for
June.
No Don, I have not yet gone bankrupt. My children haven't starved. I still
go to work, and I am laughing at this ... you are most certainly showing
your true colours ... I applaud you. Picking date July 25, 8 p.m. Rain
date July 26, 8 p.m.
Beware villagers...You never know who might be luiking in your
backyard...If you're not a good gardener....Don Carter might report
“YOU”.
Judy Brown.
