Several local people have just completed the ten month Commu­ nity Business Initiative Program for Huron County. The program consisted of 10 - three-hour seminars on Strategic Planning, Taxes and Tax Tips, Human Resources, Cash Flow and Financial Statements, Marketing, Advertising, Credit and Collec­ tions, Inventory Control and Stress Management. The topics arc picked by the participating businesses and arc led by an expert in each field. The program is sponsored by Huron Industrial Training Advisory Committee and co-ordinated by the Federal Business Development Bank. This was the second program in Huron County and a third will start in September 1991. There arc now 68 graduate businesses in Huron County. "Make Someone Happy", written by Playhouse Musical Director, Doug Livingston, features songs by the immortal Jule Styne, including such wartime hits as "Don't Want to Walk Without You, Baby", I ll Walk Alone," "It's Been A Long, Long Time," "Give Me Five Min­ utes More", and "I've Heard That Song Before." The fast-paced revue also fea­ tures such favourites as "People" from Funny Girl and "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" from Gen­ tlemen Prefer Blondes. "Make Someone Happy" runs July 16 through July 20; July 30< August 1; August 3; August 7; August 9; August 13, August 15; August 17; August 17; August 21; and August 23. "Amazing Gracie", written by Canadian writer, Warren Graves, is about a crusty widower who meets a newly widowed lady who comes alive again in this second time- around romance. There arc sur­ prises in store for both of them. They have to find their own happy ending. "Amazing Gracie", begins July 23 through July 27; July 31; August 1; August 3; August 7; August 10; August 14; August 16; August 20; August 22; and August 24.
