Phone 887-9487 27 attend Edgar reunion Twp. gets arena grant money Twenty-seven relatives attended the 46th Edgar reunion which was held at the Belmore Community Centre Sunday, July 14. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Mundell and daughter Beth were in charge of the sports which were enjoyed by everyone. Prizes were given for Mrs. Viola Haist and son Mervin for coming the farthest (Toronto); youngest - Lauren O'Kane, Guelph; and old- People visit The Speakman reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jones and family of Glen Williams on Sunday, July 7. President were: Mrs. Elizabeth Procter, Belgrave; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Procter, RR 5, Brussels; Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Smithson, Downsview; Mr. and Mrs. Saltus Jones, Scarborough; Mr. Paul Smithson and boys, Markham and Mrs. Mark Speakman and boys, Pickering. A good time was had by all. Mrs. Larry Mayberry and Kim­ berley of Londesboro visited with her mother Mrs. Elizabeth Procter Sunday, July 14. Danny Thompson of Toronto vis­ ited on Sunday with his grandpar­ ents Mr. and Mrs. Bert Johnston. Mr. Paul Vincent and friend Elaine Shedden of Burlington, Elaine's mother Mrs. Margaret Shedden of Scotland visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Vincent. Belgrave and area neighbours E. Wawanosh gives to 4H fund Members of East Wawanosh council observed a minute of silence, prior to their July 3 meet­ ing, to remember former councillor, reeve and road superintendent, Clarence W. Hanna, who died as the result of an accident on June 29. Mike Alexander of Belgrave attended the meeting to ask the township to install a culvert in front of his property. Road superinten­ dent Ralph Campbell explained the Humphrey subdivision was planned for the use of open ditches with a 30 fool allowance for culverts to allow driveway access to the prop­ erty. Costs to install culverts for all property owners would be too cost­ ly, Mr. Campbell said, as it would mean the installation of catch basins. A grant of $50 was given to the Friends of 4H Fund. A by-law was passed to provide for the Sturdy Municipal Drain repair and improvement. The East Wawanosh portion is $3,361. The initialing municipality is Hullett township. Building permits were issued to Don Cook, Part Lot 33, Cone. 9, residence, subject to approval from Maitland Valley Conservation Authority, Huron County Health Unit, Ministry of Natural Resources and a zoning by-law amendment application; Brian Pot­ ter, Part Lot 35, Cone. 9, swim­ ming pool, subject to fencing and pool by-law and Ralph Drosl, Part Lot 36, Cone. 14, extension to a hog bam. est, Lewis Stonchouse, Belgrave. Members met at the Hayter Turkey Farm at Dashwood where they had a guided tour. They saw turkey poults aged two weeks, four weeks, nine and 15 weeks old. They are processed at 17 weeks of age.
