THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 17, 1991. 7 local CHSS students named Ontario Scholars Seven local students are among the 18 who graduated from Central Huron Secondary School in Clinton as Ontario Scholars with averages of over 80 per cent. Scholars from the area include: Leona Cunningham, Anita Gross, Theresa Knox, Cathy McDonald, Kim Medd, Jennifer Roulston and Jane Whitmore. THERESA KNOX Theresa Knox is the daughter of Mel and Barbara Knox, R.R. 1, Blyth. She attended Hullett Central School. She plans to attend Univer­ sity of Guelph to study biological sciences with the hope of entering the veterinary program. Crime of the Week BREAK ENTER AND THEFT The Zurich L.C.B.O. store was broken into on July 6, 1991 at 3:50 a.m. in the morning. The thief was a young male person of average build and about 5' 10" in height. The suspect was wearing a white t- shirt at the tune of the break and enter and broke a window to gain entry. BREAK ENTER AND THEFT Luckharts Transport of Kirkton suffered a break enter and theft overnight of July 12, 1991 when thieves broke through three doors to gain entry to the main office where they stole money and records from the office safe. While in the office the thief or thieves rummaged through drawers, cup­ boards and even a refrigerator. The culprits also let out two pens of pigs, containing 10 pigs which they would have had to have chased out. Stolen from the safe were gift certificates as follows: Ser. #A020056-A020060 in $10 denom­ inations; Ser.# B020041-B020060 in $20 denominations; Ser.# C1OO21-C1OO3O in $50 denomina­ tions; and an undisclosed amount of money. Zurich Reeve seeks Warden's position Zurich Reeve Robert Fisher became the first candidate for the position of Warden of Huron Coun­ ty for 1992 at the July meeting of County Council. Reeve Fisher announced he would be seeking the office at the July 4 meeting of council. Tradi­ tionally candidates for warden announce their intentions at the June or July meetings of council. County council does not meet in August. The race will be a little different this year in that it is a municipal election year.
