Most of its members have come
from Grey and Elma township and
membership peaked in the late
195O's with 40 members on the roll.
The numbers have dwindled con
sistently over the years, mainly
because of members moving away.
With only nine left, the executive
feels they cannot continue and
though the 40th anniversary may be
the last gathering of the Moncneff
WI, it was an afternoon spent shar
ing memories and a happy ending
to a piece of community history.
