Marie is the daughter of the late Selwyn and Hazel Baker and Bill is the son of the late Wilbur Tumbull and Jennie Tumbull of the Maple wood Manor in Seaforth. They were married on the lawn at the bride's home in Grey Township on June 5, 1941. Estelle Fritz (for merly Cunningham) of Waterloo Children's Sunday service held at Brussels Mennonite Fellowship Sunday, June 9 was Children's Sunday at Brussels Mennonite Fel lowship. Linda and Andrew Garland pre sented a story "Cough Drops” and Anne Hemingway also addressed the children. Elaine Hiller led the children in singing a special piece which they have learned entitled "I Like Me". The children went to the gym for further program by Dave and Nancy Seiling and their family who shared with puppets. Pastor Don Vair of Belgrave addressed the adults. He spoke on Relationships. We must make a conscious effort to turn from our old life to a new one with Christ at the centre, he said. The most important relationship we have is with God. The next is with our family. These relationships provide security and this security and love will spread to others. God supplies what is needed to do whatever He requires. God provides a way out of the trap of bitterness through for giveness. Forgiveness is not an option; it is a command. We expect God to forgive so we must forgive. We must love one another enough to die for one another, for Jesus said "Love one another as I have loved you". Bibli cal love is a conscious decision to love everyone, not just those whom wc choose to love. First go to God in prayer. If there is sin, confess and get rid of it. If you have sinned, you must make it right. If someone sins against you, you must forgive him. Look for good points in those who arc heard to love. Love melts the opposition. Even on the Cross Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." That power to forgive is available to each of us if we'll ask for it and accept it. Elwin Garland was worship lead er for the morning service. Mcrvin Lichty led the congregational singing which was accompanied by Heather Baan.
